Bug Patterns Worksheet, Five Rows With a Bug Key

Ladybugs, bees, and butterflies cycle through five bright rows on this bug patterns worksheet, and that dashed answer box at the end of each row is just waiting to be filled in.

Each of the five color-bordered rows presents a repeating sequence of kawaii bugs, including ladybugs, yellow bees, and blue, purple, pink, green, and orange butterflies. A dashed-border answer box sits at the right end of every row so children draw or color the bug that comes next. A bug key runs across the bottom of the sheet, labeling all seven bug characters by name and color to support independent work.

This bug patterns worksheet fits naturally into a homeschool morning table or a classroom center. Kids study the sequence, consult the key if they need a nudge, and either draw the missing bug freehand or color in a quick sketch. Name and date fields at the top make it easy to keep completed sheets organized in a folder or portfolio.

Five colorful rows of kawaii bugs make this bug patterns worksheet a bright, engaging way to build early pattern recognition skills. Instant download.

Usage Notes

The answer boxes are generously sized, so colored pencils or washable markers both work well without crowding the drawing space. Fine liners or ballpoint pens suit the name and date lines at the top, which are narrow. Ink is unlikely to bleed through at standard copy paper weight, but if kids are pressing hard with markers, a sheet underneath is worth it. The worksheet can also be filled in digitally if you prefer a screen-based version.

Printing Tips

A single-sided letter-size print is all this layout needs. Print a small batch at once so you have extras on hand for siblings or a co-op group. Laminating one copy lets children use dry-erase markers on the answer boxes and reuse the sheet multiple times before switching to a fresh printed copy.
