Earth’s Layers Coloring Page, Cross-Section With Four Labeled Zones

Cut the planet open and you get four rings, each with its own texture, temperature, and story. This earth’s layers coloring page puts all of that in your hands, one concentric zone at a time.

A cross-sectioned globe dominates the left side, split into quadrants so you can see the surface geography on one face and the interior structure on the other. Wavy line textures fill the mantle, the outer core ripples with fluid-motion lines, and the inner core sits as a small dense circle at the center.

Four labeled callout boxes on the right list each layer’s thickness or radius, and a lightbulb fun-fact box at the bottom notes that the inner core reaches 5,500 degrees Celsius. Part of the Color & Learn Infographics collection, this earth’s layers coloring page sits at a moderate complexity level: the diagram has clear boundaries to follow but enough textural variation in each zone to keep the session genuinely interesting rather than rushed.

Color and label all four earth’s layers coloring page zones, from crust to inner core. Instant free download, prints crisp on standard paper.

How to Approach the Earth’s Layers Coloring Page

Usage Notes

Gel pens with a fine nib handle the tight wavy lines inside the mantle and outer core zones without bleeding across borders. Colored pencils are worth reaching for on the globe’s surface geography, where light layering lets continents and ocean areas blend naturally. Use alcohol markers cautiously in the callout boxes; the smaller text areas risk bleed-through on standard copy paper.

Printing Tips

A 32 lb or heavier paper keeps the wavy-line texture zones from looking muddy if you use wet media. If you’re printing on standard copy paper, bump the scale to 100 percent and avoid scaling down, because the concentric ring boundaries are closely spaced and shrinking them makes accurate coloring much harder.
