Flour on the counter, an idea in their head, and nowhere to write it down until now. This kids my recipe page gives young cooks a proper place to capture every step.
The kids my recipe page is laid out with a Recipe Name line at the top, followed by two side-by-side boxes: a teal Ingredients section with six bullet lines and a yellow Tools and Equipment box with six bullet lines. Below both sits a wide red-bordered Directions section with six numbered lines, giving kids plenty of room to write each step clearly.
A cheerful blue callout box at the bottom reminds kids to ask a grown-up for help when steps get tricky, and a short Notes line wraps things up. This page belongs to the Cookbook Recipe Page Templates collection and suits any kid who wants to document a family favourite, a school project recipe, or their very first original dish. Two cartoon child chefs in aprons and chef hats frame the bottom corners, keeping the whole sheet feeling fun rather than formal.

Ballpoint pens work well across every field here because the lines are moderately spaced and ballpoint ink stays put without bleeding through. The Ingredients and Tools boxes have tighter bullet lines, so a 0.5 mm pen keeps handwriting neat inside them. Laminate a copy and use dry-erase markers if kids want to practise drafting a recipe before committing it to paper permanently.

Print single-sided on standard copy paper so the cartoon chefs at the bottom stay crisp and unaffected by anything on a reverse side. If you are printing a batch for a classroom cooking project, 75 to 80 gsm copy paper handles repeated handling fine, but bump to cardstock if kids are keeping these pages long-term in a recipe binder.
