Kids Rainbow Recipe Page, Six-Step Directions and Star Rating

A rainbow banner, kawaii fruit, and five empty stars waiting to be filled in: the kids rainbow recipe page makes writing down a recipe feel like an actual event.

The kids rainbow recipe page is split into two main zones. On the left, four stacked boxes handle Servings, Prep Time, Cook Time, and Notes, each with a small icon and a couple of write-in lines. On the right, a two-column bullet grid holds up to ten ingredients, and a numbered Directions section runs six steps, each on its own ruled line.

At the bottom, a row of five outline stars sits beneath the question ‘How Would You Rate This Recipe?’, letting young cooks score their own creations. Smiling characters including a red apple, yellow banana, strawberry, watermelon slice, blueberry, and green apple decorate the borders without crowding the writing fields. It suits kids who want to record a recipe from scratch or copy a family favourite into their own words.

Bright and cheerful, this kids rainbow recipe page fits servings, prep time, cook time, ingredients, directions, and a star rating. Free download.

Usage Notes

Ballpoint pens are a reliable pick here because the ruled lines in the Directions section are generously spaced, and ballpoint ink dries fast enough that a left-handed kid won’t smear step three while writing step four. The Notes box on the left is small, so a fine liner keeps handwriting neat inside those few lines. Filling this one in digitally before printing also works well if kids want tidy typed text under the rainbow banner.

Printing Tips

Standard 75 to 80 gsm copy paper is fine for a one-off use, but printing on 90 gsm gives the sheet enough body to sit on a countertop without curling when little hands rest on it while copying a recipe. Print single-sided so the back stays clean for any sauce splatters that happen mid-cook.
