
Cream goes in a bag, rock salt goes in the bigger bag, and ten minutes of shaking later your student has both dessert and a solid grasp of making homemade ice cream phase changes.
Freezing as a phase change is easy to say and hard to visualize until your student is holding a bag of ice cream they just made themselves.
