Usage Notes
Alcohol markers move quickly across the open river and sky, and their blendability suits the soft mountain gradients in the background. Colored pencils with a light touch will handle the elk’s layered fur texture and the delicate fern fronds in the border without muddying the fine lines. Gel pens work beautifully for the decorative frame details and the wave medallion at the bottom. Use watercolor pencils cautiously on the densely textured mossy trees, as heavy moisture can buckle the page.
Printing Tips
Card stock at 32 lb or heavier keeps the fine border linework crisp and prevents bleed-through from markers on the open water areas. If your printer allows scaling, set it to 100 percent rather than fit-to-page so the border details print at full resolution.
