Task one presents sixteen cut-out vehicles in red, blue, yellow, and green, with four labeled boxes at the top for sorting by color. Task two switches to size, offering three large bordered boxes labeled Small, Medium, and Large alongside a second bank of vehicles drawn at noticeably different scales, from compact cars to full-length buses and steam trains.
Children cut the vehicle cards from the dashed grid below each task and paste them into the correct box. The sorting boxes are generously sized for small hands managing scissors and a glue stick. Usage Notes
The sorting boxes are wide enough for a glue stick and small paper pieces, so no pen work is required beyond writing the name at the top. If skipping the cut-and-paste step, a fine liner works well for drawing a small tally or initial inside each box to record answers without cutting. The page is not ideal for lamination and dry-erase reuse since the cut-out bank is consumed in the activity, but printing two copies solves that neatly.
Printing Tips
Standard 20 lb paper works for cut-and-paste use, but 28 lb or card stock holds up better when small hands are handling the cut pieces. Print single-sided so the vehicle cards on the back of the cut bank do not cause confusion, and consider printing two copies per child so one can be kept as a reference answer key.
