Weekly Chores Allowance Chart, School Theme With Goals

Good habits today, great future tomorrow, and a weekly chores allowance chart school kids will actually want to fill in makes that motto feel real every single day.

Nine pre-filled chores run down the left column: Make My Bed, Do Laundry, Wash Dishes, Vacuum Floors, Take Out Trash, Water Plants, Homework / Study, Pick Up and Tidy Room, and Read for 20 Minutes. Each row crosses seven days (Mon through Sun) with a small star checkbox per day, then connects to an Earned Allowance panel on the right showing a Potential dollar amount per chore and a blank Earned dollar line. Totals for both Potential and Earned sit at the bottom of that panel. Below the main grid, a My Weekly Goals section offers three numbered lines beside the nudge “Plan it. Do your best. Be proud!” A separate Notes and Reminders box provides four ruled lines.

This weekly chores allowance chart school edition suits a parent and child who want one document to handle habit tracking and pocket money in the same place. The star boxes are roomy enough for a checkmark or a small sticker, and the dollar lines give just enough space for a written amount. Families can decide together which chores earn which amounts, since the Potential column is already filled with suggested values ranging from $0.75 to $1.50.

Usage Notes

Ballpoint pens suit the narrow dollar lines in the Earned Allowance panel without bleeding through to the back. For the star boxes, a fine-tip gel pen or a small star stamp keeps each cell tidy. The Notes and Reminders lines are spaced wide enough for a child’s handwriting using a regular pencil, which also makes corrections easy mid-week. Laminating the sheet and using a dry-erase marker for the star boxes means one printed copy can run all month while dollar totals get tallied fresh on a fresh sheet weekly.

Printing Tips

Punch two holes along the left edge before slipping this into a binder so the Earned Allowance panel stays fully visible on the right. Printing four copies at once covers an entire month, and 65 lb card stock holds up better than copy paper when little hands check off stars every day.
