Weekly Chores Reflection Chart, Eight Chores With Stars and Prompts

Every weekly chores reflection chart should end with something more than a tally, and the three guided prompts at the bottom make sure it does.

Eight chores run down the left column: Make My Bed, Do My Laundry, Wash Dishes, Vacuum My Room, Take Out the Trash, Homework/Study, Exercise/Be Active, and Help Around the House. Each row has a five-star Responsibility Rating column on a lavender background, then individual star checkboxes for Monday through Sunday in seven color-coded columns.

Below the main grid, this weekly chores reflection chart splits into two boxes. The Weekly Reflection section asks three short prompts: what went well, what to improve next week, and one thing to feel proud of. A Notes box sits alongside it for freeform jottings. Sports illustrations including a trophy, sneakers, basketball, soccer ball, and football frame the page, and a badge reading “Every Effort Counts” sits at the center bottom. The layout suits kids who benefit from a moment of self-assessment at week’s end, not just a completed checklist.

Getting Started With Your Weekly Chores Reflection Chart

Usage Notes

Colored pencils or fine liners work well inside the individual star checkboxes, which are compact but clear enough for a quick mark or a filled star. The five-star rating column is wide enough for a gel pen without crowding, though water-based inks may feather slightly on standard copy paper. Laminating the sheet lets kids erase the stars and reuse the grid while still filling the reflection prompts fresh each week on a sticky note placed over that section.

Printing Tips

Standard 8.5 by 11 paper at actual size fills the layout correctly. Print a monthly batch of four at once and stack them in a binder with a slightly wider left margin so hole punches clear the chore column. Cardstock at 65 lb or heavier handles a full week of pen marks without warping.
